Diamonds for Diabetes 2018
Since 2003, Diabetes has been a part of our family. We’ve lived with the struggles and challenges that come with type 1 diabetes since two of our three daughters were diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when they were young. Fortunately, our family has been blessed with the ability to afford the care and equipment that comes with these Type I Diabetes diagnosis. Because we witnessed first-hand how financially devastating this diagnosis can be, we started Diamonds for Diabetes in 2011 to raise money for the Barbara Davis Center, a Denver research hospital helping Denver area children who have this relentless disease. Our family and our staff wanted to give back to families diagnosed with the same disease that has affected our family for so many years. We raise money for the “Helping Hands Fund”, providing supplies to children who do not have financial access to insulin and other diabetic supplies. Every penny of every donation goes directly to this fund.
This year we are hoping to top last year’s contribution of over $25,000!
The Diamonds for Diabetes campaign started November 19th and lasts throughout the Holidays. If you stop in our store, you will see two Christmas trees adorned with Christmas ornaments. For a donation of $25, pick an ornament, open it up, there will be prize consisting of a gemstone or Thollot piece of fine jewelry. If you get a gemstone, you may keep it or you may ask any of our associates or jewelers how you can make your own piece starting with the gemstone you won. We can create a great custom piece for you or your loved ones for the holidays.
